Below you’ll find both frequent questions, and anticipated questions. If you don’t find your answer here, you can contact us.

In what type of music do you specialize?
All kinds, really. We really do love jazz, post rock, avante garde piano, world music, electronic music, experimental sounds, and a bit of hip-hop.

I tried downloading a record, but it gave an error. Is there a way to get my money back?
Unfortunately there are no returns on digital downloads. However, using the link above you could contact us. We’ll look you up in the system and send you some files directly if problems occur or persist.

Am I able to download straight to my mobile phone?
The downloads are straight MP3s, so they should play fine on your mobile device. However, you may not be able to load them into your iPhone’s iTunes without accessory software. Most of our records are available via iTunes; If you want to download to your mobile, you could always buy them there.

Do you spam people with email?
No. If you are added to our email list, we will at the maximum send you a mail once a month with new postings and music to purchase. We will never sell your personal information.

My band is super hot right now. We get 1,000,000 downloads a month on YouTube. May we send you our stuff so in the hopes of getting representation from your label?
Very happy your band or you are doing great in the music industry. But, no: please don’t send us unsolicited music. Let us find and contact you.

Are you guys going to offer any special apps or software for your music?
Yes! We have many interesting products in the works. Stay tuned, we’ll announce them on the site.

Do you ever discuss new music other than 5ohm on your blog?
All of the time. It’s a great way to discuss the music industry in general.

Are you going to offer any other downloads besides music in the future?
Definitely. We are exploring other types of art and collaboration to be presented here.

Do 5ohm artists have websites outside of 5ohm? Or is 5ohm.com the only place I can find out about my favorite artist?
Depends on the artist, but yes, some artists have marketing websites outside of 5ohm.com. Their music is produced through us, but sometimes we assist in micro-sites, ‘off-shore’ marketing sites and apps. Check on the artist main page here on 5ohm to see if they have an external web presence.

Do you offer remixes on your music? Would you be interested in working with other artists to remix your music?
That depends. Generally, yes, and sometimes we provide master files for other artists to develop new ideas. We are open to collaboration. If you are interested in a collaboration or a license for music, please contact us.

Do you, or are you open to licensing your music soundtracks, games, advertising, etc?
Absolutely, and we have done that with several pieces. Please contact us for more information about licensing.
